Project Mesorah Reunites Holocaust Survivor With Liberator
In a dramatic series of events, Project Mesorah successfully reunited Holocaust survivor AaronHalperin with Sergeant Alan Moskin, a Jewish World- War II veteran who helped liberate Halperin from his
concentration camp some 65 years earlier. Sergeant Moskin was a member of General Patton's Third
Army which headed the liberation of the Gutskirche concentration camp. This amazing story was featured
extensively in an article in Z'man magazine. Project Mesorah arranged for the reunification to take place
in Florida, where Mr. Halpern lives, and Sgt. Moskin was flown in from New York for the event. Students
and hanhala at Yeshiva Toras Chaim in North Miami Beach attended Project Mesorah's program in honor
of the reunification, and were visibly moved and inspired by the experience.
